WhatsThatPic app for iPhone and iPad

WhatsThatPic tries to recognize objects in images and tells what it might be, reading it out aloud.

You can either select images from your album, make a snapshot or classify live camera images.

The app shows possibilities and limitations of current machine learning technology on a mobile device. It uses an artificial intelligence technology called "deep neural networks" running locally on your device; there is no server involved.

Visually impaired people might find it useful, but please note that the classification is not always correct.
